1. Quick Start

Getting Started in 3 Steps

Ask a Question

Type any yes/no question in the input box. Example: "Should I start learning guitar?"

Get Your Answer

Click "Get My Answer" to flip the coin and receive a YES or NO with a personalized explanation.

Track & Progress

Earn 10 XP and 5 stardust per decision. Build streaks, unlock achievements, and level up!

2. Game Modes

Classic Mode

The traditional yes/no decision maker with an animated coin flip.

How It Works:

  • Enter your question (up to 200 characters)
  • Click "Get My Answer" to flip the coin
  • Receive a YES (green) or NO (red) answer with explanation
  • True 50/50 randomness - perfectly fair

Features:

  • "Ask Same Question" - Re-run the same question to see if you get a different answer
  • "Ask Different Question" - Clear and start fresh
  • Example questions to inspire you
  • Character counter (visual warnings at 150+ chars)

Rewards:

10 XP + 5 stardust per decision

Picker Wheel

A roulette wheel for group decisions. Perfect for choosing restaurants, activities, or team options.

How It Works:

  • Add 2-12 options (e.g., "Pizza", "Burgers", "Sushi")
  • Click "Spin the Wheel" to start the roulette animation
  • The wheel spins with realistic physics and lands on the winner
  • View spin history and statistics

Best For:

  • Group decisions (food, activities, movies)
  • Breaking ties
  • Random selection from a list
  • Team lunch decisions

Features:

  • Add/remove options easily
  • Smooth spinning animation
  • Winner announcement with confetti

Gut Check (Quick Fire)

Rapid-fire decisions with custom question sets. Test your instincts under time pressure.

How It Works:

  • Stage 1: Select an existing question set or create new
  • Stage 2: Enter 3-10 questions and set timer (3-10 seconds per question)
  • Stage 3: Answer YES, NO, or SKIP before time runs out
  • Stage 4: View results summary with stats and XP earned

Question Sets:

  • Save custom question sets for repeated use
  • Edit or delete saved sets
  • Track times played and last used date
  • Question sets stored in your browser

Best For:

  • Brainstorming sessions
  • Testing gut reactions
  • Group activities and icebreakers
  • Decision-making practice

Rewards:

5 XP per answered question (skipped questions earn 0 XP)

3. Progression System

Experience Points (XP)

XP is used for leveling up. The more decisions you make, the higher your level.

Earn XP by:

  • Classic Mode decisions: 10 XP each
  • Gut Check answered questions: 5 XP each
  • Unlocking achievements: 25-100 XP depending on rarity
  • Completing daily quests: Variable XP rewards

Level Formula: Level = √(XP / 100) + 1 (exponential growth)

Stardust Points

Stardust tracks your overall progress. Collect stardust from every decision and achievement.

Earn Stardust by:

  • Every decision: 5 stardust
  • Unlocking achievements: 10-250 stardust
  • Completing daily quests: 25-100 stardust
  • Leveling up: Level × 10 stardust bonus

Note: Stardust is a tracking metric, not a currency. It shows your total progress!

Daily Streaks

Build a streak by making at least one decision every day.

  • Streak increments when you make a decision on a new calendar day
  • Resets to 1 if you miss a day
  • Longest streak tracked separately
  • Unlock streak-based achievements (7, 30, 100+ days)

Personality Type

Your personality is calculated based on your YES/NO ratio across all decisions.

  • Optimistic Adventurer - 80%+ YES answers
  • Positive Seeker - 60-79% YES answers
  • Balanced Navigator - 40-59% YES answers
  • Cautious Contemplator - 20-39% YES answers
  • Wise Protector - Less than 20% YES answers

4. Achievements & Titles

Achievements

Unlock 19 achievements across 5 categories by hitting milestones and exploring features.

Achievement Categories:

  • Decisions - Make 1, 10, 50, 100, 500 total decisions
  • Streaks - Build 7, 30, 100-day streaks
  • Answers - Get 100 YES answers, 100 NO answers
  • Levels - Reach levels 5, 10, 25, 50
  • Exploration - Try all game modes, unlock all titles
  • Special - Secret achievements for unique milestones

Rarity Levels:

  • Common - Easy to unlock (10-25 XP, 10-25 stardust)
  • Rare - Requires effort (50 XP, 50 stardust)
  • Epic - Challenging (75 XP, 100 stardust)
  • Legendary - Ultimate goals (100 XP, 250 stardust)

Unlocking:

Achievements unlock automatically when you meet the conditions. You'll see a toast notification with confetti for epic/legendary achievements!

Titles

Unlock 13 cosmetic titles by earning specific achievements. Equip your favorite title to display in your header!

How Titles Work:

  • Each achievement unlocks a corresponding title
  • View all titles in the Achievements page (Titles tab)
  • Click "Equip" to display a title in your header
  • Click "Unequip" to remove your current title
  • Only one title can be equipped at a time

Title Examples:

  • 🌟 Decision Maker - Unlock by making your first decision
  • 🔥 Streak Master - Unlock with a 30-day streak
  • ⚔️ Decision Warrior - Unlock by making 100 decisions
  • 👑 Master of Fate - Unlock by making 500 decisions (Legendary)

Display:

Equipped titles appear in your header with rarity-based coloring (common/rare/epic/legendary). Show off your achievements!

5. Data Management

Local Storage

All your data is stored in your browser using IndexedDB and localStorage. No servers, no cloud, no accounts.

What's Stored:

  • All your questions and answers
  • Decision history and timestamps
  • XP, level, stardust
  • Unlocked achievements and titles
  • Equipped title
  • Daily streaks
  • Question sets for Gut Check
  • App preferences

Important: Clearing your browser storage will delete all your data permanently!

Delete & Reset

Delete individual decisions, question groups, or reset your entire profile.

  • Delete Decision: Remove a single decision run from a question group
  • Delete Question Group: Remove all runs of the same question
  • Clear All Decisions: Delete all decisions but keep profile (XP, achievements remain)
  • Reset Profile: Complete reset - all data deleted (requires confirmation)

Warning: Deletions are permanent and cannot be undone!

Pro Tips

💡 Build Your Streak

Make at least one decision every day to build your streak. Set a reminder if needed!

💡 Ask the Same Question Multiple Times

If you're unsure about a decision, ask it multiple times to see the YES/NO distribution. Your gut feeling will guide you.

💡 Use Picker Wheel for Groups

Perfect for team lunch decisions, movie nights, or any group activity. Let the wheel decide!

💡 Create Themed Question Sets

In Gut Check mode, create question sets for different topics (career, health, relationships) to test your instincts.

💡 Track Your Personality

Watch how your personality type changes over time. Are you becoming more optimistic or cautious?

💡 Favorite Important Decisions

Star important decisions to easily find them later using the Favorites filter.

💡 Unlock All Game Modes

Try Classic Mode, Picker Wheel, and Gut Check to unlock the "Explorer" achievement!

💡 Equip Your Favorite Title

Show off your achievements by equipping a title. Legendary titles have a special golden glow!
